Minutes 0–7: settle the throw

Warm up for 3 minutes with relaxed throws. Spend the next 4 minutes aiming at one landing spot below the hole. Count bags that land in your chosen area; change one part of your delivery at a time.

Minutes 7–13: block and push

Use 3 minutes to land a blocker below the hole. During the next 3 minutes, place a bag in that position and try to push it in. Reset the target between attempts so the task stays comparable.

Minutes 13–16: test the airmail

Spend 3 minutes on airmails. Record attempts and makes separately from your slide throws, then use the results to judge when the shot belongs in a game.

Minutes 16–20: record a baseline

Finish with 4 minutes of normal four-bag rounds. Use raw scoring: 3 in the hole, 1 on the board, 0 off. Log every completed round in the tracker and save the session with a note about the conditions.

Stop when the timer ends, or adjust the session length to give a particular skill more attention.

A few common questions

Do I need two boards?

One target board works for these drills. Mark the throwing line 27 feet from its front edge for regulation-distance practice; retrieve bags after the round.

How should I compare sessions?

Keep the distance, equipment and drill consistent. Record conditions and use several sessions before deciding a change helped.
